My research is in computer security, with recent topics
including interpersonal technology abuse, applied and
theoretical cryptography, and authentication.
Starting January 2026, I will be at the University of Toronto
and on leave from Cornell.
As such, I will not be taking new PhD students at Cornell in the
coming year.
I am the faculty director for Cornell Tech's Security, Trust,
and Safety (SETS) initative. Thanks to Google for the
support through their Google Cyber NYC program.
I previously worked part time at Cloudflare Research.
I'm part of a research team working on computer security and
privacy issues in the context of intimate partner violence.
This led us to found the Clinic to End Tech Abuse.
Thanks to the Sloan Foundation for their support of my work via a
2015 Sloan
Research Fellowship!
